Jays crush Twins in opening game

The Jays crushed the Twins 13 – 3.  The Jays had twelve hits and Edwin Encarnacion had one error.  He made up for it though having one great play, Adam Lind also had one great play and one flub.  Ricky Romero was lights out until the 6th inning.  He allowed seven hits in 6 1/3 innings.  Romero walked none and struck out seven.  John McDonald entered the game as a defensive replacement for Aaron Hill. John got one RBI on a sacrifice fly.  J.P. Arencibia hit two home runs and one triple. In all 24 games he played in spring training he hit one home run.  J.P. had 11 total bases.  Jose Bautista and Adam Lind hit back to back home runs. The Jays tied for second in their history for most runs scored. Aaron Hill had a double.  Carlos Villanueva, Jason Fraser, and Casey Janssen all pitched scoreless innings. This was a very good opening day for the Blue Jays.
